Backcountry Skiing for groups from 2-12<br />

Accommodation is in cabins with electric heat, hot showers and small kitchens. ( 3 queen beds, 1 cabin with 2 doubles and 1 with queen and single ). Cabins all are self contained with kitchens and cutlery. One large room with 3 queen beds but no kitchen. Groups can self-cater meals or eat at local restaurants. We provide snowmobile rental/transport for access if required for ski touring.<br />
<br />
Guiding services also available. We also offer guided helicopter drops from a variety of locations featuring big vertical descents and ski touring options. From $350 per person.<br />

New Denver is located 1.5 hours north of Nelson and 2.5 hours south of Revelstoke. Ski Touring from town is mostly by 30 minute snowmobile ride and then it is as untracked or as remote as any <a href="http://www.backcountryskilodge.ca/">backcountry ski lodge</a>. The ski tours listed are all total classic 5 star tours.<br />

A trip to New Denver is ski touring in the BC Interior how the locals do it. We would recommend spending 4-7 days just like you would at a backcountry lodge.<br />

I am offering two avalanche courses this winter on the weekends of <b>Dec 12-13th</b> and <b>Jan 2-3rd</b>. The focus is on ski touring decision making in avalanche terrain. Typically the course will involve a day at Evening Ridge near Whitewater and a day at Kootenay Pass. This course also provides an introduction to the popular local touring destinations.<br />
